Our approach

How a Geneva private investigator works

The quality of an investigation lies not in the volume of information gathered, but in the solidity of what is established.

01

Confidential first contact

We listen to your situation, identify the decision to be informed and check whether an investigation is relevant. No sensitive document is required at this stage.

02

Compliance review

We examine the jurisdiction, legal basis, applicable limits and any authorisations required. A non-compliant mandate is declined, even if technically feasible.

03

Mandate and method

Scope, questions to be answered, available sources, timeline and deliverables are agreed in writing before work begins.

04

Reporting and follow-up

We deliver a factual, sourced report distinguishing established facts, hypotheses and areas of uncertainty, and remain available to discuss the implications.

Principles

Working principles

Proportionality

Every verification must be necessary to the mandate. We do not widen the scope without documented reason.

Traceability

Sources are identified and dated. An unsupported conclusion is never presented as fact.

Minimisation

We do not collect information beyond what is useful, particularly where personal data is concerned.

Restraint

No public communication, no client references, no use of your matter for commercial purposes.

Framework

Legal framework and ethics

Discreet workspace

Private investigation activity is regulated differently from country to country. In Switzerland it is carried out in compliance with applicable federal and cantonal law, in particular data protection rules. In the European Union, the GDPR and national regulations govern the processing of personal data.

Some methods are prohibited everywhere: unauthorised access to systems, interception of communications, tracking individuals without a legal basis, and surveillance of private premises. We neither practise nor subcontract them.

Where local law requires a licensed operator, the mandate is structured accordingly. Before any engagement, we tell you clearly what is possible and what is not.
